8. Explain the stages the group has undergone in its development and the processes that typify each stage.
There five stages which a group process goes undergone and develop whole group. Here all five stages are discussed in details.
I. Forming stage: The first stage of group development is known as forming stage. It is a time when group members start coming together and become familiar with each other. Group members learn how the group will operate, what is to be done. They seek clues and guidelines from the leader. General rules are set in this stage.
II. Storming stage: Members become more comfortable at this stage and more dominate of the group members emerge. This stage is characterized by conflicts as at this time questions about the leadership, authority and responsibility arise. So some members may remain silent to avoid conflicts while others attempt to dominate.
III. Norming stage: The group now becomes a cohesive unit. Members learn to compromise and co ordinate. They actively mould their own ideas and perspectives according to the ideas presented by other members. They share their knowledge and experience with others. Creativity is high. There is data flow between group
