Mr. Taylor Edison,
I am concerned about the Denim Day fundraiser, which is prohibited in this company. I support a charity called the American Cancer Society which, helps breast cancer patients as they fight breast cancer by providing 24/7 phone support, and rides to treatment. Denim Day donations help us save more lives from breast cancer. Mortality rates from breast cancer have dropped 36% since 1989. That’s 249,000 lives saved! (Edward, N. and Shauna, R., 2011) We’re making progress each and every day.
Since Denim Day began in 1996, participants have raised more than $95 million to help save lives from breast cancer. (Edward, N. and Shauna, R., 2011) This year, by joining together on October 7,2017 we’ll add even more to that total. “Donations will help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking breast cancer research; provide free, comprehensive information and support to

This company has a strict dress code, but for the Denim Day, employees can wear pink shirts with jeans to support breast cancer. Employees also have the option to donate money. By involving customers to donate $1-2 for the charity will be helpful. There will be posters and flyers in visible areas for employees and customers to see. While making the bill, employees can ask the customers about donating a $1 to the charity. By doing the fundraiser, company will help many people who are in need while not affecting work. Fundraiser cannot be done by myself, in order to make a change and get enough donation to the charity, company and employees should also participate. Company must try the idea of Denim Day this year and see if company will make progress or have any success stories. If the Denim Day did not go well, nothing will be affected badly. But if the company gets a lot of donations and see employees and customer’s participation, then our company will get credit and

The John Franklin School of Learning is a nonprofit educational institution which started operations in 2007 and provides education for 62 students from inner city residential areas between the ages of 12 and 14 years old who are without any formal teaching. After the students have passed their end of year examinations, they are furnished with a recommendation letter from the school so that they can be filtered into the high school system. The building that the school currently occupies has lost its exterior aesthetic beauty, lacks educational paintings and the name of the school on the wall is hardly noticeable. After discussions with Mrs. Maria Buckle who is the headmistress, it was established that since the institution had moved into the building the space has not been painted over and they have been unable to source the funds or manpower to do the like.…

My group, consisting of Deja Calvin, Jasmine Begley, Raphael Genato, Marina Thacker, Courtney Carr, Ralph Tamakloe, and Glory Chuma, plans to organize a clothes drive through the school. Before the idea was formed, I knew that Goodwill takes donations for the less fortunate. Also, in our school National Honor Society has a can food drive early in the school year, and NJROTC holds a toy drive near Christmas.…

Community Proposal- Period Care for Homeless Women Periods are not especially enjoyable to put up when one has access to feminine hygiene products; adding the complication of homelessness brings inconvenience to a level of misery. Periods are an unpleasant reminder of the vulnerability those living on the street face. Menstruation is uncomfortable and people who do not have access to pads or tampons often have no choice but to bleed through their clothes. The issue becomes more problematic when they must wear their soiled clothing because a change of clothes is not available. Homeless women are more susceptible to irritation and infection because they are forced to wear soiled menstrual products for longer than recommend.…

I would get permission of the authorities, and go talk to a hospital and see if they are interested in this project. Also, I think once a year, we could send care packages to veterans, and wounded soldiers. I think this would be a great service for those fighting for our country. If this is a possibility, I would try to go to an organization that sends donations to our soldiers, and ask them if they would want to go about this project. I would try to get donations from various students, and companies with the help of some other members.…

Avon is committed to raise awareness about certain issues connected to women and help to fight against these problems in various ways. I would like to take a look at what social problems are they concerned about and why it is important in shaping the image of the company. Schewe says that “creating awareness is the first goal of promotion,” and that it is necessary because interest is triggered by awareness; which are followed by desire and action (Schewe 1987, 494). There are two main concerns Avon is trying to suppress: breast cancer and domestic violence. Being dedicated to terminate or at least to lessen the scale of these problems, they support various organizations, institutions, research, helping and education programs globally.…
