The company is run by only 4 people including myself. My previous volunteer work with the church and my Bachelors in Business Management as well as my financial background has made me invaluable to the company. I have helped serve homeless people every weekend at church and have a large understanding of how a business runs due to my educational background. I can manage employees successfully and help with the accounting books. I am able to effectively bargain shop for companies that will make the products at lower costs so that there is a higher profit made per item which then allows for a greater number of homeless bags to be produced and passed out.

When confronted with having to do a number of things at the same time, I always use the same approach, which is that of snowballing. For me, snowballing means starting with what I know I can do at a particular moment, and using the completion of modest, achievable tasks to give me confidence in being able to complete much larger and more difficult tasks. With this approach, I wade in to whatever I can do and use the momentum to keep going. At Bechtel, this approach allowed me to lead a team that was able to achieve a number of valuable results (5-fold reduction in inventory overhead,…

Also it has been steadily increasing in value over time. This is a pharmaceutical company meaning it deals with drugs which is always interesting to me, the way we use chemicals to provoke different reactions in the human body is fascinating.…

Besides understanding the impacts and implication of sustainability on business models and the ability of the business to grow and perform well in the long term is very much essential. Hence as the new management of Wearing Well (WW) our main focus was to formulate a strategy that would transform WW into a leading retailer specialized in UK clothing retail industry. Our next step of action was to assess WW’s potential in terms of market positioning, highlighting competitive threats and commercial potential, assessing stakeholders relation by highlighting any opportunity or challenge for responsible and ethical business, assessing prospects for greater sustainability in our operations that would highlight our strength and weakness for the future and finally assessing short, medium and long term risk in the business.…
