Criminal Psychopaths

Psychology plays a major role in understanding criminal personality traits after the fact of a crime committed not before or when attempting to deter violent crimes. By understanding the personality traits of perpetrators that had committed erroneous crimes, it will provide us with valuable knowledge to attempt to prevent future psychopaths in committing erroneous crimes. Passing down the knowledge, especially to educators, it would assist in location possible future psychopaths in schools. For example, the Columbine High School massacre, Virginia Tech shooting, Sandy Hook Shooting, and Aurora theater shooting perpetrators, may had showed personality traits which indicated psychopaths. If the educators had knowledge in detecting a possible psychopath, then some of these events could have been prevented to an extent. Furthermore, psychopaths exist among non-psychopaths living and working a common life, just anyone else without being detected or committing any criminal.
