Although employment may be terminated at will by either the employee or the company at any time, without following any formal system of corrective action or warning, the company may exercise its discretion to utilized forms of corrective action that are less sever than termination. Examples of less severe forms of corrective action included verbal warnings, written warnings, demotions and suspensions. While one or more of these forms of corrective action may be taken in connection with a particular employee, no formal order or procedures are necessary.
