In engaging in our group project, I have attempted to be a team player that has endeavored to understand my responsibilities, job duties, and the performance standards and group expectations. This has meant working an average of nine hours per week on the project, plus any additional hours, until the allocated goals are achieved. During the RockCSC478 to Mars Project, I was assigned the role of document specialist. Coordinating the collection, communicating results, and maintaining the account of group collaboration has been my focus to this moment. In future weeks, I will transition to Lead Tester, reviewing the product to make sure that it meets our group objectives. The project has demanded time management skills, as well communication flexibility in meeting my team’s goals. In my academic career, I have always attempted to complete projects ahead of schedule, that goal has not changed in this group project.

Accomplishments and Impact Statements

Description: Built an organizational chart that illustrates the reporting relationship within our organization.

Impact: Employees will fully integrate into our organization, while making contributions to achieve well defined team goals.

Description: Drafted a preliminary budget by estimating organizational resource needs, by summarizing planned expenses for project management.

Impact: Our group’s project manager was empowered to make specific financial choices, centered on thorough analysis, to achieve cost savings, based on documented cost planning.

Description: Prepared a Gants chart to track activities, to indicate which tasks have been completed and update records while documenting implemented changes as required.

Impact: Improved group interpersonal communication, while presenting accurate up-to-date information to our project manager, thus reducing organizational expenditures, and maximizing our time, while working on our individual
