(11) Comprehension of Informational Text/Persuasive Text. Students analyze, make inferences and draw conclusions about persuasive text and provide evidence from text to support their analysis. Students are expected to:
(A) Compare and contrast persuasive texts that reached different conclusions about the same issue and explain how the authors reached their conclusions through analyzing the evidence each presents.
Students will compare/contrast, analyze persuasive texts and explain how the authors of the respective texts reached their conclusions.

I will start the lesson by asking the students if they have ever been in a position where they had tried to persuade their parents, siblings or friends. I will then ask them how they tried to persuade them and if they used any resources to help their persuasion. Next, I will share with the class about a time when I tried to persuade my parents into buying me a concert ticket. Then I will briefly explain to the class how I tried to persuade them.
