Basically the human mind also has to consider what has been set forth for it to conceive. As god creates things people can accept these morals or things and believe in them, or they can choose to not believe in this things which could in a way mean they don’t accept the truth of things. He states everything conforms to God’s artistry; or his creativeness as one could say. It can be explained in two ways. Since God is all knowing, rather than things just being considered unknown you have to consider how someone accepts these certain ideologies. The second item being that God’s knowledge is creative as stated before. Pieper says it best when he states, “We are not simply declaring here, strictly speaking that God has created everything out of nothing, rather we intend to say, using an image from ancient Egyptian ontology that everything has sprung from god’s eyes” (Pieper, 44). So furthermore how a human mind receives the truth in all things and how it is presented in God’s eye are similar. For us to know the being we must know the truth which has spawned from the creative “eye” of God. This in a way ends up being a cycle and help shows how Pieper can explain his ideas. He draws from the philosophies of important figures like Aristotle and Aquinas, by using both of their ideas on being …show more content…
While Pieper is able to accept that there can be truth in all things Descartes is not able to do that. Descartes was a very eccentric philosopher who was one of the first to really question the old ideas. He strayed away from the ideas of metaphysics and Aquinas. He doesn’t really believe in what had come before him, and he found a way to find doubt in everything. Pieper is able to explain all his connections and his views are not as out there as Descartes were. Pieper constantly draws from all the old ideas. With using the ideas of being itself and even referring to the five points that Aquinas was able to use to explain God himself. Yet he does add his own touch with adding the creative touch to God which adds a new way for people to understand how God can create certain things, yet not everyone accepts these. Pieper is really able to connect the old ideas of the other philosophers with his without really straying too far from their
