Climate is defined as the “average weather” in a place, climate is continuously changing due to certain causes. There are several human and natural causes that have impacted the global climate negatively over the past century. There are numerous actions that can be taken in order to further prevent climate change from happening at the fast rate that it is. Many recent changes in the earth’s climate have occurred due to the impact humans and natural causes have on the earth. Scientists have made many predictions of what the future will be like based of research of what climate change has done to the earth and that it will do. Climate change is the change in global or regional climate patterns. A change apparent from the mid to late 20th century and onwards attributed immensely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. Climate change is also called global warming, which refers to the rise in average surface temperature on earth. Climate patterns play a fundamental role in shaping natural ecosystems, with human economies and cultures depending on them. Our climate is rapidly changing with huge impacts and the change in climate is progressing faster than it has in the last 20 years. Increasing levels of carbon dioxide and other heat trapping gases in the atmosphere have warmed the earth and are causing numerous impacts.
