This process transfers energy from the ocean into the atmosphere. When the winds arrive at the disturbance, they rise up and release that energy into the air... This warms the air and makes it buoyant…” much like a hot air balloon’s envelope filling up and expanding. (Unkown) On the one hand, climate change is expected to make water warmer, giving more storms more energy. On the other hand, an increase of heavy winds will weigh down a storm resulting in dissipation of said storm. Therefore, more tropical storms in number are not likely, but more violent tropical storms and their affects will be felt on a larger scale as their paths begin to traverse more frequently in the direction of Hawaii. In addition to an increase in higher felt storms, Hurley on Skift.com projects “fewer cooling tradewinds, drought, fewer waterfalls and forest streams” with an intensification of global warming. Humans can correlate much of the observed and predicted changes with the emission of greenhouse gases. The climate change is manifested on earth both in long-term climate change with slowly rising average temperatures, and more frequent extreme weather events such as storms, droughts or heated …show more content…
Volcanoes National Park offers a unique, close up look at an active volcano and the landscape produced by previous eruptions. Fewer visitors would result in a less rigorous upkeep schedule, depleting employment levels. Another national park dedicated to the area of Haleakala is located on the island of Maui.
