There should be a commitment to attracting, developing and retaining employees that will contribute to Chern’s overall success. One of their main goals is to create a positive environment where their employees feel safe and cared for and be provided with opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Chern’s should hire to retain employees that fit in with the corporate culture and that will lead to long term careers that will contribute to the company’s success. Employees skills should be developed by offering training, career development and support to help employees achieve higher and more desirable results. Reactive: It is almost always better to be proactive vs. reactive. At Chern’s they are expecting a large amount of growth in the next five years; it would be much more beneficial to have a plan in place before they start getting busier than to be short staffed and being forced hire employees who may not fit in to the business strategy. Being proactive can help the businesses overall sales and customer’s experiences as well.
