Hidden within the forests of Bolivia, laid outlaw Ernesto “Che” Guevara. As he laid, asthma tearing his lungs and burning, only but a basket of eggs, and not salvation in sight, the outlaw had been captured by the Bolivian Army. Che was considered a rebel, an elusive man, showing the most amount of defiance in the face of rebellion. Che Guevara. A hero, they say. A criminal, they say. Who is Che Guevara?
Che Guevara, born originally as Ernesto Guevara, was born into a middle class family in Argentina on 14 June 1928. Upon birth, Guevara was diagnosed with chronic asthma (Che Guevara). The two set out on what came to be a nine month expedition where they saw actual poverties of the world and other problems of society. After the nine months of travel, Guevara and Granado had reached Peru. In Peru, is where Guevara finally put an end to the trip, he had changed his perspective so much that he had decided to change his overall path. As the story is recaptured, Guevara was captured with a gun that was useless, a basket of food, and wounded with little ability to walk without support. Guevara before capture dropped his weapon and said, “Do not shoot! I am Che Guevara and I am worth more to you alive than dead!” (Che Guevara Biography). He was taken as a prisoner and held captive.
During captivity, he was locked up in a schoolhouse in a local village. Guevara refused constantly to be interrogated and would not answer any questions. Although he was locked up, he presented himself as if he was still in charge of the situation. He often retaliated and showed defiance by acting in manners such as kicking those who came in, and even spitting in the face of those who faced him. The Bolivian army had not a clue of how to handle Guevara, as they reported to local news stations that Che Guevara was killed in the Bolivian Jungle when the rebels (Che and his army) opened fire on the Bolivian
