Geraldo Rivera
Geraldo Michael Rivera is a famous American reporter and talks show host personality (Smith 1). He was born in 1943 the Fourth of July in a health center situated in New York City. His father, Cruz Allen Rivera was a cab driver, a Spaniard, who hailed from Puerto Rica. Rivera`s mother was named Lillian, a Jew from Russia. Rivera`s parents migrated to the United States of America (USA) because of racial discrimination in their native land (Martinez 195).
Rivera attended West Babylon High School in New York, and later joined the State University of New York Maritime from 1961 and completed in 1963. He represented the Puerto Rican activist group named “Young Lords” on several occasions after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania
