Heirlooms flew across the room magnificently, as if they possessed wings, landing on top of the mountain of other artifacts that had been carelessly flung; some were broken, some were not, but that didn’t matter now - he doubted he would ever hold them in his hands again. The pestering knocking at the door turned into slamming, each punch at the door making it weak at the knees - the banging was like a timer, counting down the seconds until his impending doom, forcing Ming Hao to work faster than humanly possible. However, he had no recollection of such a room, or, moreover, getting there in the first place.
Thinking back, the last thing he did remember were the kind Chinese family, who had risked their own lives to give him refuge, supplying him with enough fresh water to drown a fish, and enough food to feed a nation.
So where was he now? Had he finally been captured by the KPA? Was this his final resting place, where he would be beaten and killed? Or would he be forced to fight, and kill, which he opposed so much?
“A rebellion is coming,” a short man stated, strutting towards the bed, the aura of power that surrounded the man making up for the lack of height. A ring on his finger reflected the bright white lights that filled the room, like a shining diamond, blinding Ming Hao evermore.
“A revolution against what?” Ming Hao questioned after the tubes that had been suffocating him had been removed by a passing nurse, fear fogging his brain.
“A revolution against North Korea,” the man . “And you’re our weapon - you’re the one who will create the path that will lead us
