At first, one could find it difficult in communicating with others in the university whether it is the language or with the accent. Lacking the knowledge of language could lead to various inner problems such as anxiety, stress, confusion and misunderstanding which as a result create problems for their course (Erichsen and Bolliger, 2011).For example, Campbell and Li (2008) reported that Asian students struggle to make local friends in New Zealand. Universities who recruit international students need to adapt with different personas (Chalungsoth and Schneller, 2011). For example, researchers refers to a particular cultural differences faced by Signorini et al. (2009), noted that the Chinese students would not question their teachers as they appear to them a great personal wisdom. Knowledge about different cultures, global issues and logical reasoning skills aid to successful international education (Hill, 2012). Therefore, new ideas need to be developed in order to surpass these issues, such as curricula should be designed to improve the students multiple outlooks and knowing more about alternative ways of learning could help to adapt to any environment.
In conclusion, this essay has presented some of the challenges faced by international students and provided possible solutions, whether it is homesickness, language proficiency, social contact with home students, finance, adjusting the new culture etc., all could be dealt with proper assistance and understanding. Furthermore, both the universities and the students need to strengthen their bonding in order to have a productive experience (Smith and Demjanenko, 2011) which, as a result, draw more international students in the United
