The claim I am making for my Op-ed piece is that abroad offices in universities need to promote and encourage students to study abroad. This is because students who study abroad overwhelmingly experience benefits in their personal development. The audience for my Op-ed will be students that are questioning if they should study abroad. Many students expressed interest in study abroad earlier in their academic career. When it was time to study abroad, many could not because their majors would not allow them to go or they were too busy that they did not view study abroad as a beneficial experience but as an experience that conflicts with their studies.
