The Guadalupe County Correctional Facility is located at2615 N. Guadalupe
Seguin, Texas 78155. This prison is an Adult Detention center and is a medium security. Robert Hernandez the administrative director of this facility. The inmates range from low level to high level crimes. That meaning that they range from murder and arson all the way down to theft. Inmates that are being held at this prison are either awaiting trial or are have already been sentenced to a year or less. At the Guadalupe county jail there are both males and females being held. They would also like to make it known that they want to create an environment where the inmates can interact and not have all of this negativity around them all the time. Research shows that this county jail hasn’t had any recent breaking news. For example, any inmate riots or inmates breaking out etc. In addition, the Guadalupe County jail hasn’t had any horrifying events either. There are some career opportunities at the county facility. You must be at least 21 years of age, must be a U.S. citizen and must have a High school diploma or a GED. The officers have to go thru a drug test, history background, must pass a criminal credential and driving. They must stay in shape and be in shape thru out their carrier at the facility. Inmates at this facility are entitled to a strict 3 meal plan which consists of 2,500 calories for breakfast, lunch and dinner combined. They are also allowed limited access to phones in order to contact their loved ones, friends etc. Not only that but they get access to the outdoors for only an hour per day for exercise, to shower, read books, or use the restroom facility. Inmates also get access to some approved games and TV shows. Having at least one hour a day helps them interact within one another and learn social skills. The mail must contain the inmates full name and that doesn’t include any nicknames or any other fake names they may have used in the past. The inmate’s social security number should be on the mail to ensure that the mail gets to the correct individual. It should also include the cell number and the most important the jail address. Only soft back books are allowed thru the mail. Mail that contains any contraband will be taken away and can result in trouble for both the sender and receiver.
