Motor Vehicles crashes are the leading cause of death, and injuries, among teenagers in the United states. According to Michael’s report from Los Angeles Times “About 963,000 drivers ages 16 to 19 were involved in police-reported crashes in the United States in 2013, the most recent year for available data. These crashes resulted in 383,000 injuries and 2,865 deaths.” for a long time. and its increasing. Most of the teens at the age 16-19 likes to drive a car, and they are the one who gets at car accident most of the time, the Average of teen drivers are way smaller than adult drivers, but more teens die from car accident than adult’s drivers, accident rates for 16- to 19-year old drivers are higher than those for any other age group. why is that? and why are the Motor Vehicles crashes are the leading cause of death among teenagers? No matter what the cause, car accidents are scary and can cause life-changing injuries or death. The causes are brain development, distracted drivers, speeding, and drug/ alcohol.
Distracted driving is any activity that people do while driving, or something that diverts a driver attention away from the main job of driving.
