Choosing the right candidate for a job is very important in a company. Managers should always try to pair the candidate with the best educational background for this marketing job opportunity along with the candidate that has the strongest work ethics. The right person in the right field will excel and help the organization reach their goals in a timely fashion as well.
Candidates
There are two candidates for this job opportunity. The first candidate has 20 years of related experience in this field. This candidate is asking for competitive pay plus an extra week of paid vacation. The second candidate has 6 years of similar experience. This second candidate wants competitive pay and a company cell phone with an upgrade every year, and paid internet service at home. (Martocchio, J. (2017).

It is beneficial to the company to have an employee with 20 years of similar experience in the field. This candidate may need very little to no training needed. In addition, the discretionary benefits that the potential employee is seeking is not at a greater cost to the company nor is it for an extensive time as would be paid home internet access or a paid company cell phone. This employee is also available on a flexible schedule in the event that there are pressing issues or projects to be completed the company knows this employee is reliable. The annual bonus plan will granted to this candidate depending on the completion of his/her evaluation.
Conclusion
In conclusion, determining who the right candidate for a job opportunity will be a difficult task. Effective hiring is critical for a company. Turnover is expensive for a company so choosing the right candidate from the beginning of the process is essential. A company should always devote the time and energy needed to fill openings the top
