Specific Goal: To prove caffeine can be beneficial when used properly.

I. It is estimated that in North America between 80 and 90 % of adults and children habitually consume caffeine. However, 15% of the general population report having stopped caffeine uses citing concern about health and unpleasant side effects. II. For centuries the use of caffeine has been a subject of controversy. Many researchers have blamed caffeine for potential health harms. But is it true? Can caffeine have more negative effects on you rather than positive effects?

According to New York Daily News a British girl almost died after consuming14 shot of espresso in four hour. This was strictly because she was abusing the use of caffeine. The American College of Physicians suggested that 5,000 people died due to caffeine overdose.
For most healthy adults, moderate doses of caffeine are between 200 to 300 milligrams (mg), or about two to four cups of brewed coffee a day.
The University of Michigan states that most individuals consuming moderate amounts will experience few, if any, negative side effects. III. Contrary to people beliefs caffeine have many positive effects. Caffeine is part of modern life. Extensive recent research has put forth that coffee is far more healthful than it is harmful.
