Two distinct market segments for CVS is behavioral, demographic, and psychographic. Behavioral segmenting is taking the consumers into groups of what they want from the products (The Saylor Foundation, 2015). These benefits include medicine from the pharmacy in a small convenient place with healthcare being number one, the product is used daily for most consumers, and consumers are regular customers. CVS has found the customers also purchase other products along the way. Demographically the age and generation is a main concern as the focus is on the older generation known as the baby boomers (Market Line, 2017). Income could be important to the demographics area as it indicates the groups buying power and they will be the upcoming elders
