Urie Bronfenbrenner developed the Ecological Theory of Development known as Microsystem, Mesosystem, Exosystem, and Macrosystem. They each have their own roles they play in every individual 's lives. These theories help you understand why you grew up or act a certain way. Environment and community have the biggest influence in our life since the day we were born. In order to truly understand a child’s development we have to understand the environment they grew up in.
The microsystem of a child are the people they grow up with and look up to such as family, neighborhood, teachers and peers. These are the people they will have daily contact with. Children will usually follow their behavior and will want to act the way they do. Without even knowing it they play the biggest role in shaping them into the person they become. Growing up I had a close relationship with my three brothers as I was the baby in the family. My brothers always took care of me and were there to help me on everything. They teached me how to respect others and have good morals. I am more open and a talkative person because of them. I grew up in Santa Ana my whole life and my neighborhood played an important role in my childhood. There were times where my parents had to go to work while my brothers were at school and my neighbors were always there to help out and take care of me. The way they treated me made me have this special love with everyone and not have hate towards anyone. Once in awhile…
