Being a Successful College Student

When entering into college as a first-year student it is horrifying, it becomes a new chapter for people. Nonetheless, students have more responsibilities, it being their homework, their job, family, and so on. Fears of being unsuccessful are one of the many reasons students are scared of entering into college, it is to fail in pursuing the career they have always dreamed of and failing to make their family proud. To be a successful college student requires you to be more responsible, put more time into studying and paying attention, find your inner peace, and to find yourself, because the only person who is going to keep you going is yourself. It is important to know what you need throughout any type of education, because if you do not know what you need, how do you know what you are doing in the first place? “The value of a college education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think.” (Einstein). Knowing what you need in college is considered necessary because life is like a chain-reaction. If you do not have the right knowledge to reach your goals, then you will continue to struggle, be less in tune with the course as it continues, and you will eventually lose your drive to pursue your goals in the first place.
