If cells, biology, and any other science course is something that sounds exciting, then the best career choice is to become a physician or a specialty physician. Majoring in a Science degree and becoming a physician is not easy by any means. However, there are so many rewards for physicians, and are both internal and external rewards. The job projection, employment market, salary, and advancements all have great outlooks for physicians according Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center. Physicians will also continue to have a great outlook for at least the next 20 years, and there is a huge shortage of doctors and nurses in the United States at this time. The first step into this method is a minimum of 3 years pre-med, and a bachelor’s degree. Medical school does not require a degree in science, but students who do major in science have a better understanding of medicine, and have an easier work load as it is required to have many science courses as part of a degree for medical school.
