BAD EFFECTS OF CELL PHONE ON SOCIETY

A report by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) said there were about six billion cell phone subscriptions at the end of 2011-roughly one for 86 of every 100 people. Up to now, this number has continued to increase dramatically. This proves certainly that cell phone affects our society more strongly and more deeply in many aspects. No one can deny that cell phone is playing a very important and necessary role in our society because it not only helps us to keep contact with everyone but also provides us a great source of entertainment. Some admit to texting or playing games during family dinners. In school, students can be distracted because they are texting during the lesson and they can also use the phones camera ability to cheat. The phones camera also allows them to send pictures to one another which may be inappropriate and can get them in a lot of trouble. In addition, the phones internet capability allows Facebook addicts to go on anywhere, anytime. This can lead to other life problems in relationship, family matters, or in the workplace. Therefore, we should admit frankly that human relationship and mental concentration are now replaced by electronic connections. Furthermore, the distraction of cell phones can threaten your safety directly because using cell phone when you’re driving is very dangerous and adds to the chances of getting into a crash even more so than drinking alcohol.
The last but may be the most serious negative effect of cell phone is that it can cause some health problems. Because overusing cell phone keeps you away from many useful activities including: taking physical and mental exercises. Furthermore, cell phone does harm your health directly because it extends radiation; this is a big danger to your health. It affects your ears, brain and heart negatively.
