1. Social networks can be used in a business setting as a tool to help employees interact with their colleagues, as a tool for marketing, and as a tool to gain information about potential customers.
2. I can use web services for my site to help me gather data on potential customers, to provide suggestions to existing customers, to process payments, and for many more activities.
3. It is important to have an organization that manages IP addresses and domain names because it keeps the Internet organized. It prevents IP or domain duplicates. Thus, it helps identify each IP and domain.
4. The benefits of using cloud computing is that it is easier to access information from more than one place at a time and in more places than ever before. On the other hand, there is a higher risk of having important information stolen and misused. 10.

Web services are an important part of information systems because they are becoming increasingly powerful tools for managing countless aspects of our lives. That is important because our personal, professional, and educational needs are becoming more reliant on these services. Web services are usually comprised of programming and data that are combined to create an application or program that is web based rather than run on a device.

11. Three companies that I know are using the Web as part of their business are Amazon, Wal-Mart, and Staples. Amazon uses the web as its primary retail platform to provide an extensive product catalog to its customers. Wal-Mart uses the web as an extension of its stores. It seeks to compete with online retailers like Amazon and hopes to appeal to online shoppers. Lastly, Staples also uses the web as an extension of its stores and hopes to provide the convenience of other retailers by allowing customers to place orders online. All of these companies have realized the importance of having an online presence. 15. If I were developing a website I would get people to visit it by promoting it on social media. In today’s world most people are constantly checking their social media accounts so I think that sharing my site through these sites would be the most efficient and effective way of reaching a broad audience. I would make my website interesting enough by providing interactive features that would keep visitors engaged. As a result, the majority of people would return to my site. I would get people to tell others about it by providing incentives for those who share my site on social media. 16. If I were an artist or producer I would work with computer programmers to embed some security features in media files that would only allow people who download the file through an authorized dealer to use it. For those who did not download the media file through a authorized dealer the file would be automatically made unusable. In other words, all media files would have security features would prevent piracy. 17. If I were a traveling sales person I could use the Internet to communicate with suppliers, to manage inventory, and to contact clients. First, being able to communicate with suppliers would allow me to have real time information about product availability. Second, the Internet would allow me to manage inventory to prevent over stock or shortages. Lastly, being able to contact clients regardless of where I am would allow me to maintain my existing customer relations and would also help me reach out to potential
