It is believed that we humans use arts from the time we are born for example when babies learn to talk they tend to mimic other speakers (Roy, Baker, & Hamilton, 2015). The teaching of the Australian dances is not limited to the teaching of arts. The students will be enabled to learn communication, history and personal learning. As students are exposed to dancing they end up picking up certain skills. Individual students can improve on some skills that they did not initially possess. The skills include reflection and analysis through choreography (VCAA, 2015). The students can learn more of their Australian history when they are taught traditional dances of the Australian ethnic groups. The other discipline gained in this unit is communication. The students through the dancing will learn to express themselves through the dances they perform. They will additionally know to express their ideas through the dances they are required to
