AA100 The Arts Past and Present was my first module with the Open University which has been a massive learning curve both in studying and being disciplined with my time to study. Over the months of studying there have been modules which I assumed I would thoroughly enjoy and modules which I assumed I would dislike, however this thinking has turned out to be the complete opposite.
Use of my study time is something that I have found challenging at times as the modules have progressed and increased in difficulty. I have also found that you need to be especially self-motived and disciplined when completing each module. As this was my first year I was unsure of the process and how to proceed with my studies and tried to keep to the study plan as much as possible, however on occasion I have failed to keep up with the study plan and have fallen behind in the assignment readings, which has meant I’ve needed to cram in my studying to catch up. On my next module, I intend to try and avoid this happening by starting my studies as early as possible once I have received the study material.
Going forward I really need to improve on my spelling and grammar as well as my proof reading as this is …show more content…
I feel this helps when it comes to understanding and being able to answer the assignment question to the best of my ability. This approach doesn’t always work how I hope it would as sometimes I feel that I do struggle to understand the assignment question, however I always try and persevere by reading and re-reading the assignment question and the relevant chapter in the study material. Although I have found some of this module quite difficult, mainly because of the variety subjects, I feel that my ability to look past this and focus on the task has been key in completing the work so far has helped me to progress in this
