Army Upward Communication

As a former member of the US .Army, downward communication is a lot in the army. Top ranking informs the lower enlisted of its unit about rules, regulations and the mission thru downward communication. There are different examples of this type communication, job instructions, job rationale, feedback and in doctrine.
Upward communication is not practiced very much in the army it’s more of downward communication. Upward Communication is the upright communications travels from the bottom to the higher levels of its business, according to Bartol and Martin. This type of communication could provide feedback, opinions, suggestions and request to superiors. This type of communication used in in a lot in large corporations, to see where they can make improvements within the company, or come up with ideas to make more money for its business. The employees getting chance let the voices be heard to share ideas to their superiors.
Another type communication that works for the Army is Horizontal communication and it seems to work as a lot for big corporations. Horizontal communication at work is the management

Face to face gives personal touch and feelings when you are speaking to a person to explain your ideas and thoughts. The advantages of Face to Face are immediate feedback, informal, confidential, and useful for interviews. Once face to face is upheld, it allows all of the other methods of communication. Having an individual reaction forms the trust and reduces mix-up and confusion. Disadvantages of face to face communication are large audiences, large organizations, and large organizations. Finally there is less time to answer a person's question so it entails excellent skill to answer rapidly.
