American Politics is a battle ground for many different viewpoints for varying topics. Planned Parenthood is one of the topics that is surrounded by controversy and arguments. Whether Planned Parenthood should be government funded is the debate that takes place often. Planned Parenthood advocates for women’s rights for abortion, birth control and health care equality (Planned Parenthood website). Even though Planned Parenthood does not have any government funding exactly, they do take Medicare, which is a government program. Many people are under the impression that the government provides direct funding to this health center, but it is simply not true.
