This essay explains whether animal testing should be allowed or not in order to produce cosmetic products by stating the ethical reason to protest and stating existence of the substitution method. This research concludes that animal testing can be both beneficial but also very crucial, should be banned at some point; however, the substitute method has found some defect which leads that medical researchers should modify the substitute method in order to animal testing to be substituted. The 20th century was a century of big change. More people got engaged in interest toward the cosmetic products ingredients and more people shown passion for animal status compare to the previous centuries. People started to look up what kind of elements were used and how it is made when choosing products that they will use. Labels are checked and get investigated. More youtubers and bloggers talks about which products have includes good ingredients and which products do not. With that interested more people start to get interest in how products are made. Those who understand how cosmetic products are made get passion about sharing opinions about the current animal status. Protests and petitions has been written to show minority groups strongly wants the animal testing to be banned. While animal testing has been necessary for medical reasons, it has been conflicted for the ethical reasons, especially with the fact that there is functional substitute.
