Animal Farm is a book by George Orwell. It takes place in a farm in England called the Manor Farm. The book is unspecific in the time it takes place in and even the exact place itself. This is most likely because George Orwell wants the book to be more relatable, so the book could take place in the past, present, or the future. The book explores what it would be like if animals took over and became in charge rather than man. One day the animals become fed up with the dictatorship of their master, Mr. Jones. With the inspiration and motivation from a boar called Major, the animals revolt and form a revolution and drive Jones away. They then run the farm on their own and create their own government and laws that consisted of seven …show more content…
The animals were all having a good time being free from humans, and they no longer had to worry about being slaughtered, milked, and enslaved into plowing fields and doing other work for the man. Their idea was that animals only produce, while man only consumes and doesn’t do any good for anybody. They would go to the wall and see that what Napoleon was doing was ok because the laws said it was, being too naive because they had small animal brains.
After some many years pass, animals die and the ones that were still alive, hardly even remembered the revolution and the wars they fought. The animals decided to build another windmill, but instead of it producing electricity, it would mill corn, which was much more profitable.
In the end of the book, Napoleon and the other pigs discontinue their grudges with the humans and make friends. The pigs continue to rule over the other animals in a dictatorship type fashion, making it no different from when the humans were ruling them. The animals were becoming slaves again.
I would definitely recommend this book to people who like endings like that. The book itself was quite plain and there were only a few super interesting parts, while the rest of it explained just the life on the farm. I would say that this book is not my favourite thing, but it’s definitely good. I honestly don’t read books so really know what’s good and what’s bad because I can’t compare anything. But I was decently entertained by it and it was definitely an interesting story. I would definitely one-hundred percent recommend this book to other book
