Animal Farm

Animal Farm is a book by George Orwell. It takes place in a farm in England called the Manor Farm. The book is unspecific in the time it takes place in and even the exact place itself. This is most likely because George Orwell wants the book to be more relatable, so the book could take place in the past, present, or the future. The book explores what it would be like if animals took over and became in charge rather than man. One day the animals become fed up with the dictatorship of their master, Mr. Jones. With the inspiration and motivation from a boar called Major, the animals revolt and form a revolution and drive Jones away. They then run the farm on their own and create their own government and laws that consisted of seven

The animals were all having a good time being free from humans, and they no longer had to worry about being slaughtered, milked, and enslaved into plowing fields and doing other work for the man. Their idea was that animals only produce, while man only consumes and doesn’t do any good for anybody. But just a few days after the revolution was won by the animals, Major died and the pig, Napoleon forced himself into his place. The animals knew that one day Mr. Jones would come back. And one day he did. And he came with an army. The animals fought the humans and eventually won, but a sheep was killed. The animals decided to mark this war in history and call it, the Battle of …show more content…
They would go to the wall and see that what Napoleon was doing was ok because the laws said it was, being too naive because they had small animal brains.
After some many years pass, animals die and the ones that were still alive, hardly even remembered the revolution and the wars they fought. The animals decided to build another windmill, but instead of it producing electricity, it would mill corn, which was much more profitable.
In the end of the book, Napoleon and the other pigs discontinue their grudges with the humans and make friends. The pigs continue to rule over the other animals in a dictatorship type fashion, making it no different from when the humans were ruling them. The animals were becoming slaves again.
I would definitely recommend this book to people who like endings like that. The book itself was quite plain and there were only a few super interesting parts, while the rest of it explained just the life on the farm. I would say that this book is not my favourite thing, but it’s definitely good. I honestly don’t read books so really know what’s good and what’s bad because I can’t compare anything. But I was decently entertained by it and it was definitely an interesting story. I would definitely one-hundred percent recommend this book to other book

Napoleon, along with the other pigs, assume leadership position a few days after old Major's death. They turn Old Major's dream into a philosophy and vow to make life better for the animals on Manor Farm. Eventually, Napoleon becomes corrupted by greed and breaks his promise. He takes away the animals' freedom by taking away the weekly debate so that no one may voice their opinion or turn the animals against him, living in luxury in his barn while the animals live outside, not doing any actual work on the farm, persuading the other animals to labor on the farm while he supervises, reducing…

Animal Farm Turning pages of a book or the quiet buzz of a movie? Both the same, yet different. The book and movie Animal Farm are based on the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. The book is an allegory to the event, simplifying it and shortening it, but with the same meaning. The Bolsheviks led a revolution to overthrow the unfair imperial autocracy in Russia, run by Czar Nicholas II, and once doing that, turned it into a communist country.…

One of the many commandments Napoleon broke was commandment one, whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Napoleon broke this commandment along with the other pigs when in the end of the book they all learned how to walk on their hind legs, two legs. By doing that is should have made them an enemy of animal farm, but because Napoleon and the pigs are viewed as superior than the other animals they got away with it. The pigs did this in the first place so they could be more like humans and almost become them. They also taught the sheep to say four legs good, two legs better.…

The members of the farm will get fed up of Napoleon and the pigs and rebel against them. One sign of this happening was when the hens rebelled against Napoleon for taking all of their eggs and selling them. They rebelled by laying their eggs in the rafters so they fell on the floor and broke. Napoleon punished them with death. In the last chapter when the animals look through the windows to see what’s happening with Napoleon and the farmers, it foreshadows that the animals will rebel against his wicked ways.…

Jones, the farm owner. If the boar had not spoken about his dream and beliefs, he would most likely not have inspired the animals to unite and revolt sooner in the first place. Despite dying shortly after giving his speech to the animals, he was the match that started the spark; Old Major managed to arouse the animals to carry out the revolution. He gave the animals a “completely new outlook on life”, particularly the devious pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, who both felt that it was their job to prepare for the rebellion to take place (Orwell 35). Unfortunately, the pigs end up becoming tyrants and run a totalitarian system, leaving the rest of the animals doing the heavy labor and performing executions without any justice.…

Orwell Warns the Democratic West Animal Farm, written by George Orwell, mirrors Russian history through a plot-alternating novel, and teaches readers about the negative effects of the totalitarian government which was being created in the Soviet Union. In the novel, a group of animals, striving for independency and the chance at an all equal government, take over their human owners’ farm because the leaders do not give or care enough for the animals. The mixture of personalities lead to some being royalty, leaders, followers and bystanders, and naturally, hierarchical conflicts arise. Although with good intentions, the new farm becomes more corrupt, and the dictating pigs evolve to resemble humans, and continues the cycle of a tyrannical…
