Why Is Animal Farm Bad

“Four legs good, two legs bad” the sheep were chanting this all throughout George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm. Is Animal farms system good or bad? In my opinion the Animal farm system is horrendous for three main reasons. First because it runs just like communism in the sense that there is one leader that everyone listens to. Second because it is corrupt the pigs will do anything for themselves and don’t care about the animals. Third because it causes more rebellion, Napoleon abusing his power leads to more animals rebelling against him. Animalism is basically the same as communism in the sense that there is one leader (Napoleon) that everyone listens to and obeys. The members of the farm will get fed up of Napoleon and the pigs and rebel against them. One sign of this happening was when the hens rebelled against Napoleon for taking all of their eggs and selling them. They rebelled by laying their eggs in the rafters so they fell on the floor and broke. Napoleon punished them with death. In the last chapter when the animals look through the windows to see what’s happening with Napoleon and the farmers, it foreshadows that the animals will rebel against his wicked ways. Some can argue that at least the farm doesn’t have to deal with the cruelness off Mr. Jones anymore, but the cruelness of Napoleon is much worse. When the animals had Mr. Jones they ate much more and didn’t have to do half the work that gives Napoleon them. With Napoleon they have to work on the windmill all day and all their rations are cut so they are much hungrier than they were with Mr. Jones. So, is the Animal Farm system good or bad? Animalism is clearly not a good system for Animal Farm because it works just like communism, it is extremely corrupt, and it causes more
