Andrew Jackson may have been one of the most controversial presidents, because of the great and terrible things he did during his presidency. Some people believe that he was a villain. They think that he was a barbarian that wasn’t fit for the presidency. On the other hand, there are those who believe Jackson did great things for our country. They believe that he improved our country as a whole. The truth is that Andrew Jackson was guilty of degrading the office of the presidency, for he wrongly sent the Natives of their land, he caused a depression, and he deprived people of jobs.

One reason why Jackson was a terrible president is because he forced the Native Americans off their land, causing many deaths. I know this because in 1830, Andrew
