Précis: The First Modern War
The American Civil War started because of uncompromising differences between the Union and Confederate states. The Civil War is the first consider modern war because the war could not be control. As the war continued, the fundamental of the society was destroyed; people need to rebuild the society. No compromise led the mental attitude for the people to use the weapon unlimitedly.

The Civil War was not prepared to yield until they get a complete victory. In the past, wars were formed between two nations fought until one side or the other realized that it would not be worth if the war continued and create accommodation.
