Personally, as a viewer, I found the plot to not deviate very much, left me feeling unfilled and just a little uncomfortable in general. The music really augments these feelings and pace of the plot when it is heard. At parts, the music gives the audience an indication that something climactic is about to occur, but it ends up being anticlimactic, where in terms of the plot, something does happen, but musically or in terms of foley, there is no indication that something has occurred. To me, this felt rather unfulfilling but is the effect that does pair well with the plot as a whole.
