She turns real depressed and looks for her family and makes contact with them, but then realizes that making contact with the living isn’t helpful. So then, she takes a job as a counselor to deceased dogs, which helps her get better and not feel so depressed This book was entertaining to me because it made me think of what really happens after death even though this is a magic realistic story and may or may not happen. It opened my eyes and made me not be afraid of death. It made be hard to accept at the beginning, but I’ll find peace. The title Elsewhere makes sense with the story because it teaches us who believe it;s heaven, but this story, it might not actually be called heaven or have a name really but it’s elsewhere that is not earth. I would also recommend to people who have wondered what will happen his- her or love one after dead to read Elsewhere. What happens to us after we die? In the book Elsewhere a novel written by Gabrielle Zevin a girl named Lizzie has been killed in a hit and run accident after that her life's changes completely. Shes now has to let go of her old life and come to terms with her own DEATH.. Betty is Lizzie’s maternal grandmother who died due to breast cancer.
