O’ say can you see…….That as you might notice is the National Anthem. People all over the world are kneeling against the National Anthem as a silent and peaceful protest. It is appropriate to kneel as a silent protest against the National Anthem. First of all, the evidence indicates that ,”Colin Kaepernick said, “I’m not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”In other words the author is saying that he will not stand for a flag that opposes black people to have the freedom and equality as the rest of the people. Not only does this evidence reveal that people are still not treated equally, but it also states that it is a peaceful protest against the flag. Based on this evidence, one can conclude that he is not gonna stand for a flag that has not yet given equal rights to everyone. …show more content…

C it states that, “The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition.”.According to this, you have the right to kneel against the National Anthem. In other words the author is saying that it is legal to kneel against the flag. Not only does the evidence reveal that you have the right to refuse to stand up for The National Anthem, but it also reveals that you have the right to freedom from religion, and expression.
