Status
One of the key components of oppression is mistreatment. NFL players constantly reference oppression, but where is the mistreatment? Just because it's a freedom of speech thing doesn’t mean that people` have to respect this protest. The NFL called Kaepernick's actions “distracting” and “embarrassing” which are definitely understatements. Although, I do have to add, as for me, a citizen of the United States of America and the granddaughter of a veteran can also agree of the words spoken on behalf of the NFL. Now is the time where we try and find a solution to this problem. Making a deal with the NFL and cutting the athletes pay for every time they kneel seems too nice of us, although everyone knows how much those athletes adore their money. We could pull from the source of the money and drop all sponsorships these players have if they kneel during the anthem.…

It is disrespectful to kneel during the anthem because it divides the nation, causes detestation, furthermore it causes intensity between 2 dense populations of people. While the football players right to protest is god given, but that doesn’t mean they should desecrate the flag. My first reason to disagree is because men and women died for this flag. They died protecting all of us from greater threats, which in return lets the football players checks keep coming in. The things that these football players give in return are just pitiful to the men and women who have served our country.…
