Religion and the American Society Religion and the American society is very weak. The American society is not enthused by religion anymore. Even though religion is still very important in today’s society, it is not as important as it used to be because prayer has been taken out of school, people do not go to church as often as they should, and parents do not teach their children about religion anymore.
