In America Amazon does mostly Internet promotions and word of mouth. Amazon has rarely done TV commercials but not as frequently at Jet.com a competitor. According to marketing management” Social media have dramatically changed the way companies approach customer loyalty”(pg28). Amazon has taken advantage of this by adverting on all major platforms Facebook, Twitter as well as owning its own page to make customer feel closer to the company. From personal experience l found out about Amazon through the shipping boxes the customers items come in. The Amazon box’s are very distinct they come we a big smile on the boxes sides with black tape with yellow words Amazon, covering the main flaps of the box this is what caught my attention. I started seeing the boxes everywhere in UPS hands on people’s doorways. That why I decide to look into it. However Amazon market strategy is different in every country for example. In India Amazon did not market via the web or TV it relies on word of mouth. This is not working.
