More than twelve million men, women, and children were killed in concentration camps, six million consisted of people from Jewish descent. What caused Hitler to have millions of Jews, Gypsies and minorities murdered and tortured and trigger WWII? The misfortune of being Jewish, racially inferior or a political threat led to death for many. Hitler won Germans’ attention, and turned the Nazi party into a political powerhouse. Hitler had twin racial views: Germans belonged to a master race, Aryans, with an innate right to rule. Jews, a vile subhuman, felt they could capture the world for themselves. (Tunny 88) After Adolf became Chancellor, the Nazis began terrorizing anyone they felt showed racially inferior traits. Germans found themselves turned into prisoners in their own country. Hitler selected Germans who he considered inferior, stripped them of their identity, tortured and then murdered them because of who they were. (Heyes 9) In the final hours of his life, Hitler, the Nazi dictator, left a political testament after causing destruction in huge areas of Europe.
