Abigail
Abigail is know to be manipulative. “She is a cold, sniveling woman, and you bend to her.” It seems like she is trying to get to John Proctor by saying bad things about Elizabeth.
“I’ll beat you Betty,” makes us think that Abigail is an evil woman. She is trying to wake Betty up and she will do anything.
Most of us agree that Abigail might be a harlot, or a whore. “I know who you clutched my back behind your house and sweated like a stallion whenever I came near,” tells us some of what happened between them.
The quote,“I will come to you in the black of some terrible night and I will bring a pointy reckoning that will shudder you,” shows us how much she loves the power of being feared. “(Looking about in the air, clasping her arms around her as though cold),” makes us think that she loves being the center of attention.
Feelings for proctor
Elizabeth has a romantic, but distrusting, relationship with John Proctor. “You were alone with her?” This quote shows that she doesn’t trust him as much as she use
