I am pursuing a career in counseling as I feel God himself calls me to counsel. My intent is to apply for the Master’s in counseling program at Colorado Christian University to start in the fall of 2016. I will be using all my life experiences to help others. My hard times have laid the groundwork for me to go on to get my degree. I have endured many struggles in my lifetime and I will use them in my counseling to help others. I am currently on the Dean’s list and hold a GPA of 3.83 and I am qualified in many ways for graduate school. I am fully dedicated to give all I have in my studies. Since I started back to school, I work only when I have time as my studies come first after God. I will be an asset as an older student with my many experiences in the discussion and mentoring other students. I am strong academically in writing and research. I am proficient in written and spoken communication skills. I will be an asset to the school who chooses me to continue my education. I am excited to be continuing with Colorado Christian University because I want to have a biblical background for becoming a counselor. I was raise in the church and the biblical portion of my masters is of upmost importance. I want to integrate my faith into my new career. I like the curriculum that I will be studying and Colorado Christian University will give me the best opportunity to become the best counselor I can be.
