A life review is critical for a nurse to complete for an elderly person or patient. The life review allows the individual to reflect on the happier times and the challenging moments that occurred during their life. This permits the patient to reflect on their life experiences and to appraise the impact they shared with the world and others. Generally, people do not realize the considerable impact they have had on the world or on other people. In this life review paper I would like to discover additional information about my Grandma and the impact she has had on the world. During the review I aspire for her to take notice of the incredibly positive impact she has had on the people in her life.
My Grandma S.H. is 76 years old and lives at home alone in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved multiple times as a child. She had two sisters, Constance and Patricia. Connie was the oldest, Pat was the middle child, and my grandma was the youngest. They lived a privileged life, in that they did not have financial problems, and her parents provided a happy life for their children. She attended Purdue University where she met her husband, and later transferred to the University of Cincinnati. They married at the age of twenty and started their family soon afterwards. They had two children, a boy and a girl, and moved back and forth between Indiana and Ohio due to work relocation. S.H. worked at an office job and genuinely enjoyed her employment. She loves…
