Trump ran the course his campaign initiating fear and promises to groups around the United States who have not had a voice since former President Obama took office. People around the United States are still trying to decipher how and why Trump won the election by comparing candidates, state results, and polls. The electoral college is made up of five hundred and thirty-eight electors and to win the presidency the winning candidate must have at least two hundred and seventy to win the election. The final results of the 2016 election were Hillary Clinton receiving two hundred and thirty-two electoral votes to Trump’s three hundred and six. However, according to CNN, more Americans voted for Clinton than any other losing presidential candidate in U.S history. Although CNN reported this Trump still won the most electoral votes coming the most from the bigger states which include, Florida, Texas, and Alaska to name a few. In total, Trump won electoral votes from thirty states to Clinton’s twenty states. However, Trump’s latest executive orders have got the United States roaring with anger by protesting and hosting rallies all over the country. This specific executive order is restricting immigrant and refugee resettlement or better known as #Immigrantban.
