Explain Code Echo procedures.

Code Echo is a fund transfer


•Code Echo Alpha is funds transfer for 7500 or less will be done by the fund custodians


•Code Echo Bravo funds transfer more than 7500 but less than 25000 and it will be escorted by the funds custodian and one additional unarmed person from the fund activity


•Code Echo Charlie is a funds transfer of 25000 or more. It requires an armed SF escort, however SF will escort government funds only. Non government funds are encouraged to seek alternative escort services such as an armored courier.

What are Code Lima, Golf, Romeo, Sierra, Whiskey Papa, tombstone, and falling star?

Lima- Passive duress


Golf- Active duress


Romeo- Gate runner


Sierra- Standby to implement fallback

What must a patrolman do when receiving a positive hit via the Terroist screening center (TSC)?

BDOC will immediately contact the TSC


• Do not inform the individual that he/she may be on a terroist watch list.


• If individual has warrant only inform the individual they are being arrested/detained for the offense listed on the outstanding warrant.


• Do not extend the duration or scope of an encounter and arouse suspicion


• Get as much identifying information as possible and relay to the TSC. (License plate, make/model, car, clothes, tattoos, etc.)


•After individual departs, complete AF Form 3907

What are the guidelines for POW violations?

Patrols will confiscate POWs and issue CVB Notices (site code or CA SA) to civilians who are detained for PIWs in their possession. Military members who are in violation of the aforementioned guidelines will be apprehended for a violation of Article 92, UCMJ.

Explain Vehicle Repossession procedures.

Personnel/companies requesting to repossess a privately owned vehicle on VAFB should be instructed to contact S5PS to make arrangements to locate the vehicle. If attempts to contact S5PS fail, deny entry until contact with S5PS is made.


During non-duty hours to include weekends and holidays, personnel wishing to repossess vehicles will be instructed to call S5PS on the next duty day to male arrangements.

Explain procedures for apprehension in a private dwelling.

Contact SJA and request authority to enter the dwelling from the 30 MSG/CC. SF will monitor the dwelling while the CC makes the decision. If permission is granted enter the dwelling, make the apprehension and complete an AF Form 3226 (Authority to apprehend in a private dwelling) type a PC statement on bond paper and include the following information:


•Name, rank, and organization of apprehended person


•Reason and probable cause for the apprehension


•Include the date and a signature, along with signature element of patrol


• Transport AF Form 3226 and PC Statement you the MSG/CC for signature no later than 24 hours after the apprehension authority was requested and approved


•Complete blotter entry and applicable AF Form 3545

•Any unattended package which is out of place

What are patrolman actions during a suspicious package?

•Maintain vigilance for suspicious persons or activity upon approach


•When directed, initiate an evacuation of affected facilities. Instruct personnel to report to the pre designated evacuation point


•Denying entry within the cordon allows evacuees to exit the cordon and direct follow on response forces to the ECP

Explain the actions of the first patrolman on scene at an active shooter.

•Patrolman will gather as much information as possible


•Assemble a contact team of 2-5 people


• Go directly to the threat ignoring victims and unexploded devices


•Notify BDOC of who is entering and what avenues of approach are to be used

•Ensure that sufficient contact teams and rescue teams have been established the facility.


•Establish a 360 degree facility as well as rally point.


•Establish a limited cordon based on the location to stop the flow of personnel.


•Direct that all gates will stop all inbound traffic and continue to allow outbound traffic to flow.


•After threat is neutralized the flight chief will assume the role of incident commander.


•Ensure a check/sweep of the building is conducted for suspects as well as victims

What are patrolman procedures for Funds Transfer Violations?

During code Echo-Alpha or Echo-Bravo funds escort fails to call BDOC by the estimated time of arrival, the BDOCC will attempt to contact the individual who conducted the escort. If resolved the dispatcher will complete a blotter entry and a funds escort violations notice letter. If individual cannot be contacted, one patrol will be dispatched and sweep the travel route looking for the individual. A BOLO will be issued by the BDOCC

Explain the procedures for DUI on a military personnel.

Military personnel will be processed in accordance with Article 111 UCMJ/Drunken or Reckless Operation of a vehicle. In order to apprehend military personnel two elements must be proven.


•The subject must have been operating or in actual physical control of vehicle


•Their ability to drive must have been impaired by the use of intoxicating liquor, drugs, vapor releasing substances, or there is a .08% alcohol concentration.

Explain the procedures for Random Vehicle Inspections.

Patrol most arrive 5 minutes before starting. IEC'S do not conduct RVIs alone. Brief the operator the check is by order of the installation Commander. The vehicle count is suspended while a vehicle is being checked.

What are patrolmen procedures for a person found without a pass and no escort?

Detain the person and conduct an investigation. If the person cannot explain how they entered the base or does not have an escort, and if no other criminal or suspicious activity has occurred, complete an incident report, issue a CVB Notice for trespassing and escort off base. An AF Form 3907 will be accomplished on all trespassers.
