Essay on Youth Values of Today
Ethics and personal values are integral parts of most people’s lives. So why don’t they teach some of these values in schools as we grow and are preparing to go into the world as mature adults. We should choose to prepare our youth for the good and bad of this world, for they are unaware of what they are about to enter. I didn’t know what I was entering until I was loaded with responsibility without any warning. As people grow up, most will learn some of the values that are most important. As I have seen in my time at college, some of these teenagers need to learn a few more.

The next thing that should be taught in schools is reliability. It goes hand and hand with everything an adult will do in their lifetime. Teenagers tend to skip school and work without any thought of how it will affect them as they become adults. When you are older, you will go apply for a job. When the prospective employer calls your previous employers or your teachers to see if you are reliable and dependable, what will they find out? Every job is an opportunity to excel in life. Every class you take is your chance to learn what you can to show this world and future employers that they can hire you to do a job and you will be there when needed to do the duties given. CEO’s don’t get to skip work just because they want to. To become successful in life you must be reliable.
Young adults I have met in college seem to depend on everyone else from the answers to homework to helping them learn the math that they missed from skipping classes. In my opinion, it is hard enough to keep your own head afloat. An adult must be self-reliant. There might be a slim chance that some people do not know what this means. When someone is missing school for no reason and they come to class and ask for you to take time out from your hectic life to help
