Workplace Violence

Companies are responsible for the safety of workers while on duty. When violence occurs against employees or amongst coworkers companies can be held liable for failing to prevent the incident. Workers’ compensation addresses on-the-job injuries. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 establishes federal regulations for employee safety protections (Mathis, 2014).
I visited the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s webpage on Violent Crimes. After reviewing their Workplace Violence publication, I identified the four violence categories as crimes committed by person without any connection to the workplace, violence intended for employees and customers of the organization, crimes against organization members committed by current or former

The training mentions the prevention method of . it is the principle that in order to prevent harassment and sexual crimes such as rape on campus, students must first acknowledge that something is happening, determine that it is wrong, estimate that something must be done, determine what actions are necessary, decide to take action and lastly actually act. Mr. Harmon claimed that Fusion failed to pay in full on a $47,000 contract. The mistake here is that they underestimated the emotion Harmon was feeling over the dispute.
