If I discovered a new species it would probably look like a wolf Pegasus mix. Maybe like an abnormally tall wolf with wings. It tends to leave behind those trail of clouds you can sometimes see in the sky. Once discovered I would call it a wolfasus. Once discovered it would lead the way to humans discovering more of them.
The reason it hadn’t been discovered yet was because it’s so light it lives on clouds. It produces very little body heat and is mostly white. If people saw it while moving clouds they might have mistaken it for a plane or something. This might sound strange itself and others of its kind are actually self aware and do not want to be discovered. This is why they weren’t discovered until now. Once we are able to study
